Mesotherapy

Mesotherapy – nourishment and radiance delivered into the deeper layers of the skin

Mesotherapy is a classic yet still one of the most effective treatment methods for restoring deep skin hydration, vitality and a naturally radiant glow. During the treatment, a tailored cocktail of vitamins, antioxidants, amino acids and hyaluronic acid is delivered into the superficial layers of the skin through micro-injections. These essential ingredients support the skin’s ability to stay youthful, balanced and healthy.

General

Mesotherapy treatments support overall skin health and vitality, especially when included as part of a comprehensive skincare programme. Many of our clients have reported noticeable improvements in skin quality and radiance after vitamin-rich mesotherapy treatments.
By delivering these essential nutrients directly into the skin, mesotherapy offers a more effective method of supporting skin function than oral supplements. This direct infusion can enhance hydration, reduce oxidative stress and promote cellular repair – all key elements in maintaining smooth, radiant and youthful-looking skin.
Mesotherapy is suitable for all skin types.

We often recommend mesotherapy as part of a comprehensive skincare routine. The treatment can be combined with other aesthetic or skincare treatments to ensure that skin health and treatment results complement each other.

FAQ's

What is mesotherapy?

Mesotherapy, also commonly referred to as biorevitalisation, is a skin treatment in which a blend of rejuvenating ingredients is delivered into the skin using small injections. These cocktails typically contain hyaluronic acid, vitamins, minerals, amino acids, enzymes and other revitalising components (often called biostimulators) that help activate skin cells so they function more effectively.

Is the treatment new?

Mesotherapy was developed as a medical method in 1952 by the French doctor Michel Pistor. It was originally developed for the treatment of osteoarthritis and muscle pain. The technique was later adopted in aesthetic medicine to improve skin quality. Today it is used to address signs of ageing by reducing lines and laxity, improving texture, boosting hydration and activating collagen fibres for firmer, healthier skin.

What are the benefits of mesotherapy?

Mesotherapy stimulates cellular metabolism and increases the production of collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid by supplying the skin with nutrients it needs to function optimally. It improves skin renewal, hydration and overall quality. Mesotherapy is recommended to help prevent signs of ageing, smooth and firm the skin and restore radiance. It can also be combined with other treatments – such as IPL or microneedling – to further enhance results.

Is the treatment painful?

Mesotherapy at Skinmed can be performed using a mesotherapy injection device (meso gun), which provides a comfortable experience and is generally considered painless. Many clients find the treatment surprisingly pleasant.
It can also be performed manually using fine injections. With this technique, the sensation may be stronger, and some downtime such as temporary redness or bruising is possible. We will always discuss the most suitable method during your consultation.

Are the ingredients safe?

All mesotherapy ingredients we use are thoroughly tested, CE-marked and safe.
Quality is essential to us. Our mesotherapy products are carefully selected to ensure excellent results.
We also offer individually customised meso-cocktails to suit your skin.

How often should mesotherapy be performed?

Treatment recommendations vary depending on your goals and your skin’s condition. For optimal results, we typically recommend 4–6 treatments spaced 2–4 weeks apart, followed by 1–2 maintenance sessions per year. A consultation is always recommended before starting a treatment course.

Can the treatment be performed during pregnancy or breastfeeding?

We do not recommend this treatment during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
