Mesobotox

Mesobotox – smooth, radiant and naturally refreshed skin

Mesobotox is a modern variation of traditional botulinum treatments – lighter, more superficial and above all more natural-looking. A highly diluted botulinum solution is delivered into the superficial layers of the skin using microinjections. The result is naturally smoother and more refined skin, with less visible pores and softened fine lines – all without a frozen look.

General

Mesobotox uses a highly diluted botulinum solution, delivered via microinjections into the most superficial layers of the skin. Unlike traditional botulinum toxin treatments, mesobotox does not act on the deeper muscle layer but works within the surface of the skin. It helps minimise the appearance of enlarged pores, softens fine lines and supports a more balanced skin surface by regulating oil production. The result is a naturally matte and refreshed complexion where small lines and uneven areas of the skin appear smoother.
Mesobotox differs from traditional mesotherapy because it is not based on nourishing vitamins but on the subtle, localised effect of botulinum on micro-muscles and sebaceous glands. It is therefore particularly suitable for skin that is oily, has enlarged pores or fine surface lines – or for anyone seeking smooth radiance without reducing facial movement.
Results develop over the first few days and last several months.
Mesobotox is an excellent choice when you want a rested, smooth and naturally radiant complexion – with results that look beautifully natural, not “done”.

What makes mesobotox so special? The key lies in its ability to provide a fresh and rejuvenated appearance without altering facial expression.

FAQ's

Who is the treatment suitable for?

Mesobotox is an excellent option for skin that is prone to redness, oiliness, visible surface lines or uneven texture. It suits all skin types and is ideal for those who want a lighter alternative to traditional botulinum treatments.

Is mesobotox suitable for rosacea-prone skin?

Although newer approaches to rosacea have highlighted botulinum toxin, it has in fact been used for persistent erythema and redness for several years. The effects may help relieve certain rosacea symptoms for up to 4 months.

Is the treatment painful?

Our mesobotox treatment is not painful. It is important to note that the term mesobotox is used differently across clinics and techniques may vary. We have over 14 years of experience with this treatment, so you can rely on our expertise.

How often can the treatment be performed?

The recommended treatment interval is approximately every 3–4 months.

How does mesobotox differ from traditional botulinum toxin treatment?

Traditional botulinum toxin relaxes muscles. Mesobotox is applied into the skin rather than the muscle and does not reduce muscle activity. The results are therefore not comparable to traditional botulinum treatments.

Who performs the treatment?

At Skinmed, mesobotox treatments are always performed by a healthcare professional – a registered nurse or a doctor.

When will I see results and how long do they last?

Initial results typically appear within 3–5 days and continue to improve over the following weeks. The effect lasts around 3–4 months, after which the treatment can be repeated.
